Dr. Jackson is a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She graduated from a four year Oral and Maxillofacial Residency at Howard University Hospital, Washington, D.C. She was Chief Resident in 2010- 2011. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University (B.A. 2001) and Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry (D.M.D. 2005), where she was a class officer and a member of the Honor Society. Dr. Jackson completed a two-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York (2005-2007).
Dr. Jackson’s post-graduate training included rotations in surgery/maxillofacial infections, facial trauma, head and neck pathology research, neurosurgery, otolaryngology and plastic surgery at Washington Hospital Center, Georgetown University Hospital, and Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She has completed an orthognatic and reconstructive surgery rotation at the Jeffrey C. Posnick Center for Facial Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Jackson currently holds active hospital privileges at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Chestnut Hill Hospital, Temple University Hospital and New Jersey Shore Medical Center. In addition she is Clinical Instructor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine.
Dr. Jackson has been the primary author for several published research articles. She has been invited to present her work at the American College of Surgeons Resident Trauma Competition (2009), and at the annual meeting of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (Toronto, 2009). She has received awards and recognitions of service from her colleagues.
Dr. Jackson is proficient in the Spanish language. She has a caring attitude with patients and an excellent surgical technique. She is self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic and a creative thinker.
Dr. Jackson currently lives in DC with her husband. She enjoys baking and making home improvements.
